Meet Ann—the practical thinker behind Scensibles.
In 2005, founder Ann Germanow saw a familiar restroom problem: people were told not to flush period products, but were given no thoughtful alternative. She set out to create one.

“What was the better option?”
That simple question became the starting point for Scensibles. Ann and John Germanow built the family-owned company around a clear belief: period and personal-care disposal should feel normal, private, and prepared—not like an afterthought.
From one little bag to a complete disposal system.
The idea grew with the real ways bathrooms are used and serviced—from a discreet bag kept close at home to coordinated products for shared and commercial spaces.
A missing restroom option
Ann recognized the gap between a “do not flush” sign and the practical disposal choice people actually needed.
Discreet disposal, close at hand
A purpose-built tie-handle bag gave people a simple way to contain, conceal, and dispose of personal-care waste.
Point-of-use support for shared restrooms
Compact dispensers, combination units, and receptacle liners carried the idea into the facilities that serve people every day.
One mission across home and commercial care
Scensibles continues to design practical disposal solutions around dignity, discretion, restroom experience, and responsible communication.

Product access matters—and so does a way to dispose.
Scensibles supports product donations and community partnerships that help make period care more complete. It is one more way the original idea carries forward: give people a clear, dignified option where they need it.
